Jul 21, 2019

The RoadRunners are excited to announce that they have signed goaltender Cole Garver for the 2019-2020 season.  Garver, the Middleton, Wisconsin native was tendered by the team for this season by former coach Ryan Egan.  The 5’11 175 lb.  net-minder will be trying to jump the tier lll level this upcoming week in Chicago at the Odessa Jacks main camp.  “I got the chance to watch Cole compete in Las Vegas at the Great Western Futures camp and was very impressed.  He is a very quick goalie that works hard and has fun doing it.” states RoadRunners Head Coach Mike Beavis

” I was able to talk with Cole and his dad for quite awhile at the Vegas event and I think he has a decent shot of getting a serious look from Todd Watson (Head Coach Odessa) at the camp.” added Beavis

Garver may end up in Texas with the RoadRunners with returning Goaltender Blake Forystek and Jaeger Reed (Tender out of Crosslake, MN) this year and the staff has stated that the goal-tending would be solid for the squad with this trio.   Reed and Forystek are both 99 birth year players while Garver is a 2001

Last season Garver played in Florida for the Junior Blades and made the jump to the NA3HL for this year in hopes of eventually making it to the NAHL in the near future.  When asked what his goals for the season were, Garver replied, ” Looking forward to rebuilding and bringing the thrill of hockey back to Texas, working hard and making a statement as a team member of the RoadRunners.”
