Virginia Goaltender Rudolf Signs with Runners

Aug 17, 2020

The Texas RoadRunners are excited to have signed Gilmour Academy goaltender, Aidan Rudolf, for the 2020-2021 season.  Rudolf, from Leesburg, VA, is 5’10 and 165lbs. The 2002 goaltender grew up playing hockey for the Washington Little Caps as well as the Nashville Jr. Predators before joining the Gilmour Academy Lancers for the 2019-2020 season.  Over the past three years, he has continually advanced in both USHL and NAHL team main camps.

Rudolf helped the Gilmour Academy Lancers climb to rank number 8th in the US Midget 18U Tier 1, playing in the highly competitive MPHL and USHS Prep leagues.

“I am extremely excited to be a part of the Texas RoadRunners organization and take on this new challenge. I’m looking forward to defending the net while making a positive impact on the team,” states Rudolf.

Rudolf’s goal is to become an NCAA Division 1 hockey player and is thrilled to pursue that goal through the NAHL ladder of development.

“Aidan came to us back in June from Gilmour Academy head Coach Mike Chiellino.  Aidan was highly recommended by Chiellino and we look forward to having him with the team this season.” states Runners Coach Mike Beavis

Rudolf will report to the RoadRunners, which will be beginning their own training camp on September 14th at the Spirit Ice Arena in College Station, TX.

The RoadRunners will begin the 2020-2021 season with a 10-day training camp beginning September 14th and kick off the regular season October 2nd.  The team is still looking for a few billet families for this season. Interested families should contact GM / Head Coach Mike Beavis at mbeavis@roadrunnershockey.com or via phone at 315-297-6520 for more information on the billet process.
