Speaking with Head Coach Mike Beavis after Sunday’s game he had this to say; “I think the guys played OK this weekend and it’s an adjustment period for sure with most of our guys. The younger players never know what to expect, but things went well and we were able to come away with a couple wins on opening weekend.”
Beavis went onto praise the Jr. Stars goaltender Nahuel Veyan stating he was just unbeatable for the most part and was undoubtedly the top star of Saturday nights contest. Beavis also said that he saw some very good things from his team this weekend but still realizes there is still much work to be done in preparation for next weekend as the Runners will hit the road to OKC to take on the Blazers next Friday and Saturday at 7 PM.
