Texas native Christian Spearman has signed with the team for the 2019-2020 season. Spearman from Plano, TX. spent the last two years with the Dallas Penguins 18 U team. The 5’11” 175 lb forward will be a huge addition to the teams offense . The 2001 birth-year player was tendered earlier this spring and is eager to get things going. ” I have had a few good conversations with Christian over the past couple weeks and I think he is every bit as excited as I am to get the ball rolling this year”. states coach Mike Beavis.
Spearman’s short term goals are to get the opportunity to crack an NAHL line up and long term goals are to play college hockey. The team will get to town just before labor day and will begin training camp on Tuesday September 3rd.
Meanwhile, coach Beavis will head to Minnesota on Wednesday to attend the Kenai River Brown Bears NAHL camp. which will run Thursday through Sunday.
