South Division Semi-Final Match-up

Mar 10, 2022

The Texas RoadRunners have reached the playoffs for the first time since the 2015-2016 season and will face off against their rivals the Texas Brahmas beginning Friday March 11th @ NYTEX Sports Complex in North Richland Hills, TX.

The Brahmas took the season series 5-1 over the Runners but with the Runners having everyone back in their lineup things could be a different story heading into the post season. “We have had a bit of time to rest and adjust and will have most of our key guys available for the series which is a huge factor.  It’s always tough when you have a back loaded schedule and injuries but we stayed focused.  Dropping a couple spots in the last week in the standings just fueled our fire for the playoffs and we like our first round matchup.  states Coach Mike Beavis

The Runners will travel to NYTEX on Friday to open the series before returning home on Saturday for game two which will be the first ever time the team has hosted a playoff game at “Spirit Ice Arena”.  If necessary the two teams would play game three back in Dallas on Sunday with the eventual winners moving onto the South Division finals.

“We like our chances against the Brahmas as we know they are beatable and we have been focusing on our game plan for the series.  We are healthy and hungry and looking to oust the top team but it could be a war by all means.” added Coach Caleb Fitzpatrick.

Be sure to catch all the action in person beginning this weekend at NYTEX sports Complex or “Spirit Ice Arena” in Bryan College Station.  Friday 7pm @ NYTEX, Saturday 6:15 pm @ Spirit Ice and Sunday if necessary back @ NYTEX for a 2:15 Matinee puck drop.   All games are also live on Hockeytv.com
