Ryan Scheide added to RoadRunners Staff

Aug 12, 2019

Former NA3HL and Weber State College Goaltender Ryan Scheide was recently named to the RoadRunners coaching staff.   Scheide, from Odessa Texas spent time with coach Beavis in the NA3HL before attending Weber State College.

“Ryan was very interested in the position we had open up for an assistant and knowing Ryan for quite a few years as a player and as a guy that was part of my family I thought that it could work out well.  He knows my coaching style and what I demand of my players both on and off the ice.  Anytime you can get a former player to want to come back and help makes you feel that you had an impression on that player and it is always an opportunity for everyone . States coach Mike Beavis

Scheide will work with the program as the off ice training instructor as well as to assist on the ice this season and work with the goaltenders.  His other duties will be assisting in the billeting of players and community events that the team will be active in going forward.

Scheide is also no stranger to the Odessa Jackalopes program as he was given the opportunity to work with the Jacks each season he played in the NA3HL .

Congratulations are also in order for Scheide and girlfriend Carli Harris, who were recently engaged.   Karli will join Ryan in College Station later this season.

The RoadRunners organization would like to welcome Scheide to the program and wish him all the best this season and in the future with the program as he embarks on his coaching career.
