The Texas RoadRunners will take on the Texas Brahmas this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the “Spirit Ice Arena” in Bryan / College Station, TX. this weekend. The Runners are looking to gain ground on the final playoff spot occupied by the Mid Cities Stars who have a 7 point lead over the Runners.
The Runners have 9 games remaining in the 2019-2020 season and will have to play their best hockey of the season over the remaining games to make the push for the final playoff spot in the Southern division.
This weekends game schedule has been changed over the past two weeks to accommodate for players from both teams that will be traveling to the NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament that will take place Monday and Tuesday of next week. Runners players Captain Garrett Wilderman and Tadeas Vicha will represent the team from the South in Attleboro, MA. Wilderman, recently returned from Odessa in the NAHL has been outstanding for the Runners this season and was rewarded by the Jackalopes with a call up for 9 games before returning to his team for the rest of the regular season. Vicha has been a top blue-liner for the Runners all year after attending the Jacks training camp earlier this season. Both players were selected to represent the Southern division and should get a ton of attention by NAHL and College coaches alike at the event.
