RoadRunners Open 2019-2020 Season VS Atlanta

Sep 11, 2019

The Texas RoadRunners will open up the 2019-2020 season at home this weekend VS the Atlanta Capitals at the “Spirit Ice Arena” in Bryan College Station, TX.

This will be the inaugural weekend for the newly branded RoadRunners and what is expected to be a new chapter for hockey in the Brazos Valley.  The team has been hard at work the past two weeks in preparation for the season and will get a very good idea where they should fit into the mix in the Southern division of the NA3HL.

“We have had a very good two weeks with the guys and I am excited to see the progress to this point.  It’s still early on and we have a lot to work on but I think the effort is there and we definitely have some skill.” states coach Mike Beavis.  The staff also talked about how quickly the team has bonded and how the guys are already spending off time together.

The RoadRunners are looking to make a huge statement this season both on and off the ice by assembling a quality program based on player development and player movement.  “We have a great ownership group for support as well as two official NAHL affiliates in Odessa and Corpus Christi.  This alone is huge!  We have agreements with both organizations to develop and promote our players as well as to support their programs on many levels and we know this support will be a two way street.  This is something that the NA3HL and NAHL has been wanting to develop for a couple years now.” added Beavis

The RoadRunners will open their season this Friday and Saturday at 6:15 PM and Sunday puck drops at 5:15 PM   If you can’t catch the action live be sure to tune into hockeytv.com all season long.
