RoadRunners host Rhinos in three game set

Oct 1, 2021

The Roadrunners are back at it this weekend @ “Spirit Ice Arena” in Bryan / College Station as they host the El Paso Rhinos in a three game home stand beginning Friday at 6:15 PM.  The Runners have jumped out to a 3-0-0 start in the NA3HL South division and look to keep things rolling this weekend.  Last season the Rhinos bettered the Runners taking the series 5 games to 1.  This season the Runners are a far different team with depth throughout their line-up.  “We really need to be prepared this weekend as El Paso has not played so we don’t have much on them as far as their game or the depth of their line-up.  We have put together a decent team and if we stick to our game plan and play to our strengths I think we will be fine” states Runners Coach Mike Beavis

Systems could very well be the key to this weekends series as the Runners feel they can adjust on the fly to just about every situation as the addition of several young skilled players has been a huge surprise for the hometown crowd in the early stages of this season.  With some good veteran players upfront and on the backend coupled with Hunter Hein in net the Runners could just be a team to watch in the south this year.

The two teams will face-off tonight beginning at 6:15 PM as well as 6:15 PM Saturday and 2:15 PM Sunday.  Warm-ups begin half hour prior to puck drop and tickets are available at the door.  It has been rumored that there could be a special guest making his debut this weekend or in the near future with the RoadRunners which will add a ton of excitement with the fans as well as within the Bryan / College Station community.

Stop by the Spirit Ice Arena and catch the action live or as always you can tune into HocketTV.com all season long to see all of the Runners games live.
