Roadrunners host Ice Wolves round one of Fraser Cup Playoffs

The Texas Roadrunners finished off the 2022-2023 regular season in fashion winning their final six games to grab the division title from the Texas Brahmas.  The Runners, who had held onto the divisional lead throughout most of the regular season went on a bit of a slide in the second half losing six of eight games before restoring power to their game and clinching the South.  “It was a great feeling to see the guys rebound and grab the regular season championship which was our first goal from the start.  The Brahmas had won the past six regular season division titles and we wanted to put an end to that first and foremost.” stated Runners Head Coach Mike Beavis

The Roadrunners are now looking at each game one at a time beginning this evening as they open up the post season facing the New Mexico Ice Wolves at Spirit Ice Arena in Bryan / College Station, TX.  Puck drop for tonight’s game is at 6:15 PM ” The guy’s are ready to say the least.  we have had a great showing over the past six games and this weeks practices were high energy with plenty of focus on our systems.  Added Beavis

This is the Roadrunners second post season appearance in the past four years and feel they had something taken from them last year in the divisional finals.  This year the team is determined to make it to the final six in St Louis.
