RoadRunners Hit the Road to Louisiana

Oct 25, 2019

The RoadRunners will hit the road again this weekend to face off against the Louisiana Drillers in a three game set beginning Saturday afternoon at 4 PM.  The team will depart the Spirit Ice Arena early Saturday morning for the five hour trip to Lafayette.  The RoadRunners are currently at 2-10-2 in the Southern division of the NA3HL while the Drillers carry a record of 7-4-0 and sit in fourth place eight points above the Runners.

This past weekend the RoadRunners hosted the Mid Cities Stars on Friday and Sunday dropping both contests 7-3 Friday and 4-3 in OT on Sunday.  Although the coaching staff said they feel that the team is making strides on consistency it has still been a bit of a struggle as of late with a few key injuries.  “We had a few guys out last weekend but we are on the mend and hopefully turning the corner”. States coach Ryan Scheide

The team has made a few adjustments this week with lines and plan of attack and feel that the smaller ice area may be a good fit for them this weekend.  The teams will play Saturday and Sunday at 4PM and again Monday evening with puck drop at 7PM.  After this weekend the team will get a much needed rest with an off weekend to hopefully finish healing some minor bumps and bruises before embarking on a long set of road Trips running up to the Blaine Showcase in December.

Be sure to catch all the action live on hockeytv.com this Saturday, Sunday and Monday as both teams look to make a move up in the southern division standings.
