RoadRunners Head to Dallas

Oct 10, 2019

The RoadRunners will return to action this weekend as they once again hit the road, this time the team will head to Dallas to take on the Texas Brahmas at the NYTEX Sports Center in North Richland Hills, TX.  The two teams will play a three game set this weekend as the RoadRunners try to rebound from a tough loss Tuesday to the New England Knights at the NA3HL Eastern Showcase where the team went 1-2 in the three games.

This weekend the team will be without Logan Bellar who was recalled to the Odessa Jackalopes of the NAHL.  Bellar in three games with the RoadRunners had a goal and two assists at the event.  Bellar who is playing defense with the team will be most likely playing forward up with the Jacks as that was his position with the parent club before being traded to the RoadRunners.  “Logan played well for us and I am sure that had a big impact on why he was recalled by the Jacks.  He sees the ice well and is poised with the puck.  Logan did what he needed to do for us and we told him we would help him get back on track to the NAHL and that is exactly what happened, just a bit quicker than anyone expected.  But we will take it as anytime you can help a guy move up it’s a big deal.”  states RoadRunners Coach Mike Beavis

The RoadRunners are currently have a record of 2-7 and will look to get back on track this weekend against the 4-1 Brahmas in the early goings of the 2019-2020 season.  The team has had a very busy week returning late Wednesday afternoon from the showcase in Attleboro, MA.  and only being able to hold one practice this week before heading back out on the road.  “Tough schedule is not the word for it but at the same time the road is generally where the team will bond and come together.” states coach Ryan Scheide

The team will head to Dallas tomorrow morning and face off against the Brahmas tomorrow and Saturday at 7:45 PM CDT and Sunday puck drop is at 2:05 PM CDT  be sure to catch all the action live from The NYTEX Sports Center on hockeytv.com
