Over the past two weeks Reggie RoadRunner and his teammates have been busy with the Bryan / College Station Community. The team represented at the annual Trunk or Treat in College Station and also helped out this past weekend in an event that was sponsored in part by “Destination Bryan” the programs main sponsor this season. Reggie and the team are working hard in the community and are making friends all over the Brazos Valley. “Our guys are loving the community and are always looking to get out and lend a hand” states Coach Caleb Fitzpatrick.
The Runners enjoyed some down time this past weekend and attended the Bryan event as well as had some team bonding events over their off weekend. Coming off a bit of a setback in Austin dropping a much needed point to stay at the top of the South division the team felt they needed some team building and time to really bond as a group. The Runners are holding solid in second place trailing the Texas Brahmas by four points with a game in hand. “We are playing well at this point but still need to work on consistency and raising that ceiling versus playing to the level of our opponents on occasion.” states Coach Mike Beavis
The Runners will be right back at it this week in preparation for their three game set VS the Mid Cities JR Stars in Euless Texas this coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday. While the Runners try to gain ground on the Brahmas with a strong weekend in Euless those very Brahmas will be taking on Austin in a three game series of their own. “We have some very big games coming up before the Blaine Showcase for and every point is crucial. We need to focus on every shift one at a time and keep a level positive mindset.” added Beavis The Runners will take on Mid Cities this weekend then host OKC Thanksgiving weekend before traveling to El Paso to take on the Rhinos and closing out the first half of the season hosting Louisiana for a two game set just before the Blaine Showcase in Minnesota.
