Damien Straube has joined the RoadRunners for the 2023-2024 season. Straube played last year with the NM Ice Wolves 18U NAPHL Show team as well as with the Pearland / Friendswood HS Program. The 18 year old from Friendswood, TX. is looking to make the jump to juniors and the RoadRunners are looking forward to seeing how far he can go. At 6′ 175 Straube will bring a bit of size back to the team this season.
“Damien did ok at the Jackalopes main camp and we know he has some things to work on. Adjustment will be key as well as some hard work and patient attitude for him going forward. Damien was also a guy that came up from Houston last season for a skate and he faired well enough to earn a tender. Now we need to see how he performs from here on out. I think he will rise to the opportunity and certainly hope so.” Stated Coach Beavis
