Richard Navarro will be joining the team from the San Jose Junior Sharks 18U AA program. The 18 year old from California should fit in nicely with Coach Beavis’s team this season and I know that the coaching staff has high aspirations for the former AAA player..
I spoke with Richard at Odessa’s main camp in Chicago and we talked about his role coming into the season. He likes the roll of the grinder type player and plays a physical game which will help a ton in the South. He has to make some adjustments with his game and I think with what I saw and our conversation that it will be a somewhat easy transition. It will be interesting to see where he may end up in our line-up. His potential gritty play and energy could go a long way. Stated Head Coach Mike Beavis.
