Forward Matt Edestrand has signed with the Runners for the 2021-2022 season. Edestrand, comes to the Roadrunners from the Mckinney North Stars of the NAPHL. Originally from London, Ontario Canada the 5’11 180lb 19 year old forward will add toughness and grit to the Runners line-up.
“Matt is the typical blue collar guy, always working and moving his feet. He is a tough kid that is good in front of the net and looks to mix it up in the dirty areas. On the defensive side he sticks to his man and makes it difficult for opponents to get opportunities. I think that Matt will fare well in the South Division and will catch the eye of some schools for sure.” States Asst. Coach Caleb Fitzpatrick.
The Runners feel that Matt will bring to the program what was a bit lacking the past couple seasons. and may just be what Coach Beavis is looking for.
