Max Hetman Tenders and signs with Runners

Jun 9, 2020

Max Hetman from Gurnee, IL.  Has signed a tender and contract to play with the RoadRunners this season.  Hetman, the 6′ 165 lb  19 year old played last season with the Seaforth Generals of the CPJHL.  “Max reached out to us early this spring and was very interested in our program and the relationship that we have with Odessa.  The conversations were good and we decided to sign him to a tender.  I think Max will fit with us for sure.”  states Head Coach Mike Beavis.

Hetman will surely have competition this season in Texas but Beavis feels that he will be up to the task to make a run at the top spot between the pipes. “All of our goaltenders will have a legitimate shot at the top spot and there could possibly be a surprise at Odessa’s main camp with all our goaltenders attending.” added Beavis

When asked about how he feels about the opportunity he has this year with the team Hetman had this to say.  ” I am very excited to have the chance to compete in the NA3HL with the RoadRunners and hopefully it could lead to the chance to get up to the NAHL during the season as well as to get the attention of a few schools for the future.”

Hetman and his teammates will begin to gear up for the 2020-2021 season by attending “Main Camp” with their NAHL affiliate the Odessa Jackalopes July 23-28th in Chicago, IL.
