Jun 5, 2020

Nolan Judge has signed a tender and contract to man the blue-line this season for the Runners.  Judge the 6’3  230 lb  d-man from Glendale, AZ comes to the team from the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes 16UAA  program.

Nolan led his team last season in plus/minus, PP assists and overall points for a defenseman in 59 games 5-G, 29-A for 34 pts. and a  +85

“Our scouting report on Nolan stresses his hockey sense, ability to see the ice, coachability, compete level and certainly his size and strength” states coach Mike Beavis

Beavis went onto say that with Judge he is looking for that solid presence that can shut down opponents and  can also provide an offensive threat as well.

When asked about his decision to join the Runners Judge had this to say.  “After two state championships in Arizona at the U16 level I am looking forward to the challenge of playing juniors.  I really appreciate that Coach Beavis believes in me and will help me to continue my development as a player.  While I pursue my dream of playing in the NAHL and beyond, I am excited to be a member of the RoadRunners and start working with new teammates to become a contender for an NA3HL Championship this coming season.”

The 17 year old will certainly have a chance to impress the parent club in Odessa this summer as he will join several of his new teammates at the Jacks main camp that will be held in Chicago July 23-28.  Judge’s size and age alone will quickly catch the attention of the parent clubs staff that will be looking at their potential future players for the NAHL squad.
