Jake Arnold to Suit up for RoadRunners

Aug 15, 2022

Jake Arnold from Grapevine, TX will be in uniform for the RoadRunners this season.  Arnold, the 18 year old will add grit to the Runners offense this season at 6′ 200lbs Arnold has been described as a pure grinder.  “Jake came down this spring to skate with us for a day with Porter Wolk and I liked what I saw in him.  He will be a huge net front presence for us and enjoys that role.  Much like Eitan Geralnik, he likes to battle for loose pucks in front and is a hard body to move.” states Coach Mike Beavis  Last season Arnold spent time with his HS program, Southlake Carroll, the Brahmas 18U program as well as five games up with the NA3HL Brahmas.

Arnold will be a good two way player for the Runners and Coach Beavis thinks he will be a guy that will be a roll player for the team.  “We will find his niche and we will use that for his exposure and work on the rest of his development as well.  Hockey is a game of strengths and those strengths are what we concentrate on while we work on developing other skills.  It’s a process and Jake has the skills and size to fair well.”  added Beavis

In the coming days we will re-introduce you to our returning players as well as our incoming Captains for the 2022-2023 season.  With Training camp just around the corner the guys are getting ready to head to Bryan College Station over the next two weeks.  Training camp begins Monday September 5th at 8am and the Roadrunners kick off the 2022-2023 season on Friday September 16th at 7:30 PM VS the Austin Ice Bats at the “Spirit Ice Arena” in Bryan / College Station.
