It’s all on the line this weekend for the RoadRunners

Feb 28, 2020

It’s all on the line this weekend for Myles Westbrook and the RoadRunners as they take on the Texas Brahmas at home in a three game set.  The RoadRunners are currently in fifth place in the NA3HL South Division trailing the Mid-Cities Stars by 10 points for the final playoff spot.  “These are must wins for us against a very strong team in the Brahmas.  If we want to make the push for the playoffs there is no longer room for errors.”  states Runners Coach Mike Beavis.  The Brahmas are defending NA3HL Champions and once again are focused on going deep into the playoffs with their eye on the Fraser Cup.

This weekends games will not be easy for the Runners as they will have to figure out a way to win and not just a game, they must find a way to win out this weekend and hope that Mid-Cities can’t meet the task VS Atlanta.  “The good thing is that we are healthy and everyone is in the line-up this weekend.  The guys know they have to be mentally and physically prepared and follow our systems. ” states coach Ryan Scheide.

With six games left in the regular season the Runners will look to advance for the first time in the NA3HL playoffs.   “We would love to make a playoff run this season as the team and organization as a whole is far better then they have been in the past few seasons, but whatever the outcome I am proud of our guys and happy with the season for the most part.  We have accomplished quite a bit in the short time we had to turn things around and I think we will have a bright future ahead of us for certain.”  added Beavis

Friday and Saturdays games this week will begin at 6:15 PM  and Sunday’s puck drop is at 5:30 PM.  Be sure to catch all the action live from the “Spirit Ice Arena” in Bryan-College Station or tune into hockeytv.com
