Hunter Houle will see action between the pipes this season

Aug 30, 2023

Goaltender Hunter Houle has joined the Roadrunners for the 2023-2024 season.  Houle the 18 year old netminder from Durango, CO.  Is coming off a very good season with the Colorado Springs Tigers of the NAPHL 18U program.

“Hunter played for me in a NAHL Combine game last spring in St.  Louis and I was very impressed with his compete level and skill set.  He basically impressed the three of us behind the bench and ultimately won us that game.  I then spoke with Hunter about attending the Odessa Jackalopes camp in Chicago and while we were on the phone I learned that he was still looking for a spot in the NA3HL.  I spoke with a friend of mine and his former coach in Colorado Kevin Holmstrom who said nothing but great things about Hunter and we decided to offer him a tender and sign him.”  Stated Coach Beavis

Houle may be just what the Roadrunners needed to replace another former goaltender Hunter Hein that left early to attend SUNY Cortland and play NCAA D-3 Hockey.   Hein, the 1993 birth year opted to attend college over playing for the Robertson Cup Champion OKC Warriors in the NAHL this season.  Let’s hope that Hunter Houle picks up where Hein left off.
