Hunter Grant will be back with the Roadrunners this year after appearing in only three games last season due to the roster limitations. The 18 year old defenseman from Amarillo will be back with his teammates in College Station.
“Hunter was with us last year for development and we were pretty impressed with his work ethic and his effort to stay positive and go through that development process. He was a guy that we rewarded a bit with some game time during the season and we will be looking for a lot more from him this season as a player and a returner to our team.” Stated Coach Beavis
Although Grant was a returning player the Roadrunners staff had to utilize a tender on him as he did not play in the ten games required for protection rights within the NA3HL. Beavis said it not a decision at all to tender Grant as he felt that he earned it last season.
