Houston’s Lucas Dyer Joins RoadRunners… For a Minute.

Jul 29, 2024

Houston’s Lucas Dyer has signed with the RoadRunners for the 2024-2024 season.  Dyer the 6′ 180 19 year old played last season with WB/Scranton Knights 18U NAT1HL.  He also spent The past few seasons with Dallas Stars Elite AAA and Washington Little Caps T1EHL 18U.  Dyer will add skill, size and strength to the Runners line-up and will be a huge addition to the team.

*** “News Flash”***  Lucas Dyer has made the training camp roster for the Odessa Jackalopes NAHL.  “Lucas performed well at Jacks main camp and was added to the training camp roster.  He will look to secure a spot for the season and we are all wishing him all the best at camp.” Stated Runners Coach Mike Beavis.

Beavis went onto say that Dyer impressed the staff at Main Camp with the Jackalopes and has a decent shot at sticking with the parent club.  Training camp with the Jackalopes will begin in Odessa, TX.  Later in August.  Who knows how long Dyer may be with the parent club but the staff of both teams hope that he performs well enough to stick permanently,  “My job is simple, Identify players, develop them and move them to the next level as quickly as possible.  I guess by sticking to that plan is the reason that I have been doing this so long.” added Beavis

While Dyer will forgo his trip to College Station for the Roadrunners he will make the jump to his new team in Odessa with the parent club.  This is just another example of the ladder of development between the NAPHL, NA3HL and the NAHL.  Meanwhile the RoadRunners will hit the ice on September 2nd to begin their training camp.
