Defenseman Colt Hoffey from Princeton, MA. has committed to play for the Runners. The 19 year old played last year for the Junior Bruins in the USPHL. At 5’6″ 155 lbs Hoffey will be a great addition to the Runners blue line. “Colt is a defensive minded player and that is just what we were looking for as we are looking to build a team that starts in our own zone and works its way out from there. Last season we struggled with D- Zone and I am sure that with the players we have added this season we will not be in the same situation.” States Runners Coach Mike Beavis.
“I hope to develop the offensive side of the blue line this year in Texas as I would like to continue onto the college level of play by attending Texas A&M in the fall of 2021 and play for their program.” added Hoffey This season Hoffey will be enrolled in Blinn Community College in Bryan /College Station to get a jump on some of his required college courses.
Hoffey will join the rest of his teammates in late August as the Runners open training camp with a two week on ice / off ice program to get things going for the 2020-2021 season.
