Herron Commits to NEC NCAA D3

Jul 15, 2023

Roadrunners Captain, Jack Herron has committed to New England College NEHC D3.  Herron will join fellow line mate Tyler Love when the Pilgrims hit the ice for the 2023-2024 season.  Herron spent two seasons with the Roadrunners after playing for the McKinney North stars in the NAPHL.   Herron amassed 45 goals and 56 assists in 76 games in the NA3HL.  He was also chosen for the NA3HL Top Prospects team last season and was drafted for the 2022-2023 season by the Odessa Jackalopes of the NAHL.

“Jack was a great motivational player that had that never give up attitude.  He was our spark plug and could change a game with one shift.  I would have to say that Jack was one of the best two way players that I have ever coached and should fit well within Tom Carroll’s program at NEC.” stated Roadrunners Head Coach Mike Beavis

Herron is the fourth NCAA commitment for the Roadrunners from the 2022-2023 season and may not be that last this off season as Coach Beavis has said he is fielding calls weekly from college coaches inquiring about his players.

The Roadrunners would like to wish all the best to their captain on his continued education and move to the NCAA hockey ranks.

Over the next several weeks the Roadrunners will begin to introduce this years players and staff as they prepare to kick off training camp on “Labor Day” September 4th at 8am @ Spirit Ice Arena in Bryan / College Station, TX.
