Hein Commits to Cortland College NCAA D-3

The Texas Roadrunners are proud to announce that goaltender Hunter Hein has committed to SUNY Cortland NCAA D lll and will continue his education and hockey career this fall for the Red Dragons. Hein the 20 year old from Phoenix, AZ. Was tendered this season by the Oklahoma Warriors in the NAHL.

Hein played his youth hockey for the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes before joining the Roadrunners for the 2020 – 2021 season Hein also played for the Runners in 2021 – 2022 and 2022 – 23 Hein also saw one game with the Odessa Jackalopes in the NAHL during the 2022-2023 season..

A two time NA3HL top Prospect goaltender and league all – star Hunter Hein carries a 4.4 GPA to go along with his 1.94 GAA and .937 SV% and lead the Roadrunners to their first regular season division championship.

Cortland Head Coach Joe Cardarelli had this to say about Hein’s commitment: “We are excited to add Hunter to the SUNY Cortland hockey program. While Hunter’s size, skill and ability puts him in a position to complete for playing time, I am as impressed with his character and know he will provide a positive impact to the team’s culture.” 

The Roadrunners would like to wish Hunter and his new team success in the future and will look forward to watching his progress over the next few seasons.
Hein is the third D lll commitment this season for the Roadrunners and there could be one more announcement within the next two weeks.
