Draft Pick Wilderman Signs with RoadRunners

Jul 29, 2019

The RoadRunners are very excited that one of this years draft picks has signed with the team.  Garrett Wilderman from the  Waukesha Wings is a 6’1185 lb forward that will truly have an impact on the success of this years program.  The Wisconsin native will be a huge part of the rebuilding process in Texas that will work hand in hand with Todd Watson and the Odessa Jackalopes for player development and progression.  “I had the opportunity to watch Garrett play this past weekend at the Jacks camp and was impressed with his play to say the least.   I was also able to interact with him during the camp and he is just a great kid.”  States coach Mike Beavis.  Wilderman, who played well during the camp caught the eye of everyone there and competed in the final All-Star game on Sunday and was on the bubble at the end.  He will begin the season with the RoadRunners but they feel that it might not take too long before the Jacks give him an opportunity to make the jump.  “I think with the players we have signed at this point we will be a decent team to say the least. Our Goal-tending will be top notch, and with the potential players we feel will be adding to our roster this week we just might be the team to watch come late season.”  The guys coming on want to make a statement this year and they are dead set on that being the focus.” added Beavis
