Alaska All Stars Goaltender Packee Joins RoadRunners

Aug 14, 2022

Jimmy Packee of the Alaska All Stars 16U has joined the RoadRunners for the 2022-2023 season.  Packee from Fairbanks Alaska is  noted as a very high end prospect for the NAHL in the future.  The 2005 birth year player was highly recommended by Fairbanks Ice Dogs GM Rob Proffitt.  “I spoke with Rob while he was finishing up the Ice Dogs main camp a couple weeks back and he knew Jimmy and his family.  Rob highly recommended him to me and also stated he had a great showing at his camp and was interested in him for the future.  Rob stated that he was pretty high up the list of goaltenders in attendance. We both agreed that I would take Jimmy and develop him for a potential goaltender for the Ice Dogs in the future.”  Stated Coach Mike Beavis

Packee carried an impressive 1.18 GAA and a .935 SV% with the Alaska All Stars 16U program.  “I spoke with Jake Johnson, Jimmy’s coach with the All Stars and he said that Jimmy was an awesome kid and one of the best goaltenders he had seen in a long time.  He told me I could not go wrong bringing him onboard.” added Beavis

While not a big kid 6′ 160lb Packee will have to bring his top game to the RoadRunners this year as the team is returning two goaltenders from last seasons squad and it will be a battle between the three to see who can grab the top spot between the pipes.
