The Texas Roadrunners have began the 2025-2026 season on fire! The Roadrunners have moved into 2nd place overall in the NA3HL trailing the Austin Ice Bats by one point with two games in hand. The Runners now hold a 9-1-0-0 record with their only loss coming at the hands of the Texas Brahmas.
Friday Final:
Texas R 4 @ Carolina 0 – In an extremely eventful game, the Texas Roadrunners shut out the Carolina Rage to add to their dominant start to the season. Wyatt Mineheine was the star for Texas, scoring a hat-trick within the first two periods. Lucas Dyer scored the other goal for the Roadrunners, which secured them the win. The third period was scoreless, with both goaltenders making big saves. The big story with this game was the shot count, with the two teams combining for over 90 total shots. Both goalies, especially Texas netminder Calum Hartner, put on incredible performances, giving their respective teams a great chance to win. However, despite Kole Roth’s efforts, the Rage skaters were unable to generate any offense that converted to a goal. The Roadrunners improve to 7-1 as they continue making waves in their tremendous start to the year.

Texas R 7 @ Carolina 1 – In a lopsided contest at The Ice Station Greer, the Texas RoadRunners continued their dominant form, shutting out the Carolina Rage 7-1. This victory marks the RoadRunners’ fifth consecutive win over the Rage this season, maintaining their perfect record against them. Despite the Rage’s home advantage, they struggled to find the back of the net, with the RoadRunners’ goaltender, Brenden Patterson, securing another win for the Runners, contributing to his season record of 3-0-0-0. The RoadRunners’ offense was spearheaded by Wyatt Mineheine (Hat Trick) William Heskett added two goals, Lucas Dyer and Kris Pope each added one. Mineheine and Dyer, both leading their team with 22 goals and 14 goals respectively. The Runners outshot their opponent 61-31 in the contest.

Texas R 7 @ Carolina 2 – The Texas RoadRunners continued their dominance over the Carolina Rage with a convincing 7-2 victory at The Ice Station Greer. The match, part of the regular season, witnessed standout performances, particularly from Wyatt Mineheine, who scored twice and assisted three times, earning him the third star of the game. The RoadRunners’ powerplay efficiency was on full display, netting four goals from six opportunities. The Carolina Rage, despite their spirited efforts, struggled to contain the RoadRunners’ offensive prowess. Teagan Gardner and Jeremiah Fletcher scored for the home team, with Gardner also receiving first-star honors for his overall performance. However, the Rage’s undisciplined play was costly, accruing 12 penalty minutes, which the RoadRunners capitalized on. In goal, Texas’s Colby Lee made 31 saves, showcasing a robust performance between the pipes.
