Chicago Jets 18UAA forward Ethan Walsh has joined the Roadrunners for 2024-25. Walsh, the 18 year old from Oak Park, IL. Will bring speed and excitement to the Runners this season. The gritty forward will most likely see time on the penalty kill with his quickness and his ability to read the play. “I spoke with Mike Bloome from the Chicago Jets 18UAA / Lonestar Brahmas NAHL about Ethan during the NAPHL Show Championships this past season and he said that Ethan was interested in the RoadRunners for the future. I watched Ethan for a couple games and saw that he literally fit a need that we had for quickness and speed. Ethan is not a big kid but he is solid and is not afraid to go to the greasy areas. He could be a solid utility guy for us that may see time on our PK..” States Roadrunners HC Mike Beavis
At 5’7 160 Walsh is as Coach Beavis said, “Solid”. Walsh faired well last week at the Odessa Jackalopes main camp in Chicago and impressed the coaching staff of the Runners as a solid choice. “I spent some time over the past few months with Ethan and his dad and I feel that Ethan will fit into our culture and will be a great addition to our program.” added Beavis
Walsh will join his new teammates in a bit over a month in Texas as the Roadrunners will begin preparation for what they hope is a run at the Fraser Cup in March.
